Every time I go back home, I make it a mission to raid my mom’s closet. With the 80’s and 90’s various style trends cycling back again and again, I find that I still manage to find super vintage and trendy pieces.
This dress was one of my favourite things I stole from her this summer. The light, chiffon-y material is perfect for the hot and humid summer days, and this baby-doll flowy style has also been super trendy this past year.
The original dress is actually supposed to be sleeveless, with a column of buttons all the way up to the neck. I found that the silhouette looked a bit TOO vintage for me and decided to revamp it by wearing it with all the buttons undone and off the shoulder. This modern style balances out the classy and cute polka dot pattern. With some espadrilles and reflective gladiator sunnies, I called it an outfit.
