LEATHER IN SNOW

The weather has been so good to us here in Montreal that it almost seems too good to be true. Just because it’s sunny, however, doesn’t mean we can forget about the snowy days. I mean, it is Montreal after all. I wouldn’t be surprised if it relapses into a blistery-mess next week.

I find that on cold, windy days, one of the best materials to wear is leather (or faux leather). Leather-like items are usually very thin so they never make you look bulky, but they also double as a wind-breaking layer. They are rarely skin-tight, so you get a casual but chic silhouette, while still having the option to layer something more body-con underneath.

I opted for a loose, cropped baggy T-shirt that I cut up myself to go with the loose faux-leather sweats. Since the entire look is pretty covered up, I decided to show off a little bit of skin at my belly area as well as my calves.

I decided to go with a gold-accent theme, with the rim of my sunglasses, my watch, and heels of the boots all echoing each other.
