Sweaters are probably one of my favourite items of clothing to throw on. They are effortless and comfortable as hell! Once in awhile, though, I do get tired of mindlessly putting on a cozy knit and a pair of skinnies or leggings. Can sweaters not ever escape the fate of being equated with lazy day? I think not!
The easiest way to dress up any outfit is with a pair of classy heels. I went with some pointy pumps to bring some shape back into an, overall, pretty shapeless look. Even though I wanted to fancy my cream knit up a little, I did not want to compromise how laid-back it looks. So to break the light top dark bottom rule-of-thumb, I layered with a white shirt dress underneath the sweater. It keeps with the oversized theme while the thigh-high slits add some leg action.
And of course, any monochromatic, neutral look calls for a bright lip. I aimed to match my hair.
The skinny scarf has been one of my favourite trends lately. It is quirky, hipster, and classy all at the same time. When paired with the non-form-fitting look, it serves to elongate the figure.
